Dzien Matki w Anglii.

The Mother's Day in England

The fourth Sunday of March every year people in England celebrate Mother's Day. This year Mother's Day was the 22 of March. As it is a Sunday my self and my daughter Agnieszka attended church. The priest who celebrated the mass was Father Chris. He spoke about all mother's who have children and the love that mothers have given to them. On this Day he specialy wore a pink cossock speaking to everybody this colour is as a symbol to show happiness and joy for all the people. All the children pray and sing songs for the mothers and spoke about presents they brought for the mothers. My self and my daughter Agnieszka were touched by what was spoken by every one. After mass all mothers received a small bunch of flowers to show the love by the children and we all go to church hall for tea, coffee and home made cakes.

Later in the Day my daughter Agnieszka and my partner's son Glen had made a big surprise for us, by going to a beautiful restaurant Azzurro in Hastinfs. We all sat down to a lovely three course meal. My daughter Agnieszka and son-in-law Narcis, my partner's son Glen and his partner Carl had given me presents which made my Mother's Day perfect.

It is a joy for a mother to have a child, because children always bring her joy and keep her feeling young.

Marcowy weekend.

Wiosna w Anglii pojawia sie zazwyczj wczesniej niz w Polsce. I tak jest teraz. Kwiaty zakwitly juz w ogrodach i czas rozpoczac wiosenne porzadki. Piekna, ciepla, sloneczna pogoda utrzymuje sie u nas od dluzszego czasu. Taka pogoda przyciaga ludzi na plaze, by zakosztowac pierwszych slonecznych promieni po dlugiej i kaprysnej zimie.
Ja wraz z moja kolezanke Joan poszlysmy promenada brzegiem morza w strone Hastings. Towarzyszyly nam jak zawsze nasze pupilki, psiaki: Gracy i Thuggy. Moje dzieciaki, tj Agnieszka z mezem wyruszyli rowerami w strone Bexhill. Teraz moje zycie nabralo kolorow i blasku.
Weekend of March
Spring is coming early to England than Poland. It is like spring time in England at the moment. We have started work in gardrn, because flowers have began growing. The beautiful weather means, that people like to go for walk on the beach. I and my friend Joan with our dogs Gracy and Thuggy set off on foot for the beach to Hastings. My daughter with her husband set off on bicycles for the beach to Bexhill. We met half way at the road to the beach. We drank a mineral water and had a nice talk each other. When I lived in Poland, I missed very much for my daughter. That now we meet as often as we can, and we are happy living in England.

Dzien Swietwgo Patryka.

Podczas swojej sluzby zafascynowala go religia chrzescijanska, ktorej poswiecil cale swoje zycie. Nauczajac ludzi uzywal trojlistnej konczyny (shamrock), aby latwiej pojeli idee Trojcy Swietej (Holy Trinity). W ten sposob shamrock stal sie symbolem Irlandii.
St. Patrick's Day

On the 17th of March all Irish people who live in many countries celelbrate St.Patrick's Day. It is special as Saint Patrick is the a patron Saint of Ireland. When he was 16 he was sold into slavery and he became a shepherd who looked after sheep for 6 years. In this time he was fascinated by christian religion and study all his life. When he taught people he used the shamrock that people should understand the meaning of the Holy Trinity. The shamrock became the symbol for all Irish People through out the world.

Grono moich znajomych to Irlandczycy z pochodzenia. Tak tez w Kolegium Katolickim, do ktorego uczeszcza Niamh, corka naszych sasiadow, zorganizowano uroczyste obchody Dnia Sw. Patryka, w ktorych to mialam przyjemnosc uczestniczyc. Zespoly dzieciece i mlodziezowe przepieknie przedstawialy w spiewanych piosenkach, a takze tradycyjnych tancach irlandzka historie o Sw. Patryku. Zabawy i radosci nie bylo konca. Ja z fascynacja przygladalam sie tanczacym dziewczetom i chlopakom. Tance irlandzkie sa bardzo atrakcyjne, pelne dynamiki i nieprawdopodobnego wysilku w przebieraniu nogami. Zabawe uswietnil poczestunek, tzn tradycyjne "irish stew", bardzo podobny posilek do polskiego gulaszu z warzywami. Oczywiscie do tego posilku serwowano wspanialego czarnego z kremowa pianka Guinnessa.
St. Patrick's Day

Many of my friends are Irish and invited me to St. Richards Catholic College to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. At this College my friend Joans daughter Niamh studies. It was a beautiful evening to see how Irish people celebrated. Many young girls and boys dance to irish music. The dancing was for me very interesting, because the feet move very fast and the dancing was dynamic. All people singing beautiful folk songs. The atmosphere was electric for every one. At the end of the evening everybody celelbrated by having traditional meal of irish stew and glass of Guinness, the main drink of Ireland (dark strong beer with white top).
